Obama: “Mitt Romney is not the solution. He’s the problem.”

The Obama campaign is continuing its assault on Mitt Romney’s Bain Capital history and his tax haven accounts in the Cayman’s and Bermuda. The new ad entitled, “Firms” features Romney singing “America the Beautiful” while news clips of outsourcing jobs to India and tax haven accounts, decorate industrial and tropical backgrounds. The ad ends with the message:

“Mitt Romney’s not the solution. He’s the problem.”

This comes on the heels of Romney’s continued refusal to release his tax returns beyond 2010 and a 2011 estimate. Romney appeared in several interviews Friday but he still refuses to meet these charges head on and just be straight with the public.

Many have their theories on what Romney is hiding and my theory is much simpler than outsourcing and tax avoidance, although that could be part of it. You see, Romney told the American people that he is worth $250 million. I believe he can’t release his tax returns because everyone would find out that Romney is actually a billionaire and that he lied about it to everyone, just to not appear too out of touch. It’s not the money necessarily but the lying. As for appearing out of touch, I’d have to say, “Too late.”.

Anyway, here’s the ad. It’s very clever in its simplicity.
