Romney: Cut and paste Obama audio to say what they WISH he had said
I just saw the new Romney video. They actually cut out parts of the actual Obama audio and pasted together other parts of the audio, to say what they WISH Obama had said. Funniest part is, Romney said the exact same thing while trying to condemn the president for it. Here’s what Obama actually said:
If you were successful, somebody along the line gave you some help. There was a great teacher somewhere in your life. Somebody helped to create this unbelievable American system that we have that allowed you to thrive. Somebody invested in roads and bridges. If you’ve got a business — you didn’t build that.
An admittedly awkward way to frame that but to anyone with half a clue, its obvious that, “that” refers to “roads and bridges”. What’s even more hilarious, is right after the presidents speech, Romney in an attempt to condemn Obama for his “out of context” comments, said this:
There are a lot of people in government who help us and allow us to have an economy that works and allow entrepreneurs and business leaders of various kinds to start businesses and create jobs. We all recognize that. That’s an important thing.
I know that you recognize that a lot of people help you in a business. Perhaps the banks, the investors. There’s no question your mom and dad. Your school teachers. The people that provide roads, the fire, and the police. A lot of people help.
So he’s arguing against Obama’s remarks, by using Obama’s same line of remarks? This is why I love politics. It’s funny enough to watch a panicked, desperate candidate try to change the subject from their own controversies by grasping at straws and manufacturing comments, but this candidate is using his opponents own speech framing to make the argument against his opponent.
Romney is either the dumbest person to ever run for president or Romney is really Sarah Palin in drag which would still equal, “the dumbest person to ever run for president.”. You just can’t make this stuff up.
Now, about those tax returns…
